…The grand amphitheatre shimmered under the moonlight; the air buzzed with anticipation. Well, the band appeared just 20 minutes late, which is ok. As the lights dimmed, the stage revealed itself—a fusion of solemn elegance and raw energy. A huge LED screen formed the background, displaying stormy ocean waves.
The concert kicked off with “Heroes Never Die.” While Iwan’s fingers danced across the fretboard, Tilman’s bow glided over the strings, weaving an enchanting tapestry. Then the band transitioned into their hit track – “Dolphins Under My Skin”. Ivan’s lyrics painted ocean vistas, while Tilman’s violin wept thousands of golden fish. Our tears flowed freely; strangers held hands. Elza’s Ocean had cracked open our souls.
Tilman addressed the crowd, his Swiss accent endearing. “I fell in love with Ukrainian folk tunes,” he confessed in Ukrainian. “They’re the heartbeat of our sound.” And indeed, when they launched into “Carpathian Rhapsody,” approximately 30 thousand of voices sang along.
As the last chord faded, the musicians bowed. Ivan’s eyes held gratitude; Tilman’s smile was a crescent moon. We stumbled out, hearts full, souls baptized. “It’s My Cup of Tea” wasn’t just a set of songs—it was an acoustic performance. Eva’s Ocean had cast their spell on their fans and left, promising new compositions. Let’s savour the low beats and poetic highs of the ones they’ve already released.
